Check “Keep Messages” Setting on iPhone

You know what’s shitty on the anniversary of your loved one’s death? Waking up to your text thread with them being completely gone because your Messages app was set to delete old texts after 1 year. Speaking from experience, I recommend checking your settings now to avoid this loss upon loss.

1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Tap Apps, then tap Messages.

3. Scroll down, tap Keep Messages (below Message History), then choose an option.
